ADMINISTRATIVE LAW

Administrative law is a branch of public law and is the body of law that regulates government decision making. Environmental law, including resource management law, is itself a branch of administrative law. The ability to question and formally review government decisions is a key component of access to justice. The basic principles of administrative law are the provision for judicial review of government actions, the prevention of misuse or abuse of power, and the provision of appropriate remedies.

The Resource Management Act is a living example of administrative law in action, sometimes misused by the authorities, and my expertise in dealing with issues that arise in the resource management context leaves me well placed to assist those who need to challenge administrative decisions at any level.
